We are pleased to share that we are making great progress in getting back online and have been able to restore our network as well as some of the key applications. We also now have our DIRECT phones re-opened and are awaiting your call!
Terminals are increasing their productivity by the hour, with most terminals performing at full capacity again. We are pleased that we are now also open for export in North America out of Pier 400 and Port Elisabeth. This means we are now covering the world again for both imports and exports. For cargo in and out of Rotterdam Maasvlakte II we have solutions in place with neighboring ports, as well as a clear plan for the recovery of the IT to run this innovative terminal. Intermodal services are fully running in most locations, only with reduced capacity in (Gothenburg, Rotterdam and India). And, as before, our vessels remain fully operational. For full update on local operations please visit: www.maersk.com/operationalupdate.
We are also working hard to ensure smooth handling of your imports and are grateful for the collaboration of partners on this. We do still have some ports around the world where we are working through documentation challenges but for all we are either making progress or have a plan to do so. Local customer services teams will be able to support you on your specific inquiries.
We remain open for business and are accepting bookings both via INTTRA, online forms accessible on maerskline.com and through EDI. We are preparing for a strong week and expect to open up for more channels, enabling you to book on your preferred method of transaction, and for us to be able to batch confirm your bookings in EDI. We are conscious that we may have to manage some recovery at the same time, however the support you, our customers, have shown makes us confident that we can together overcome this too.
We are aware many customers are also keen to know when we can issue Bill of Lading. This is a high priority for us, in our system delivery pipeline and we look forward to sharing news with you soon on this matter.
Your safety is of the highest priority to us and we therefore want to reiterate that all channels open from us are confirmed safe for you to use. Please note that as we bring our systems back online, you may experience that some systems will issue notifications to confirm they are safely restored. This is part of the procedure. If any doubt arises with your teams please do not hesitate to contact us about this.
Many thanks for your business
The Maersk Teams
