When fully operational, the Takoradi container terminal will have a holding capacity of 7500 tons of imported containers.

It will also be linked by both road and rail on the eastern side to the port of Takoradi.

The Takoradi Container Terminal will serve as a one-stop-shop for all container procedures where it will house customs and other state agencies required in the clearance process.

The Principal Public Affairs Officer of the Takoradi port, Peter Amo-Bediako said efficient services will be delivered at the Takoradi container terminal to meet the expectation of importers.

“We use this opportunity to invite the shipping pubic, especially the shipping lines and our economic operators, both importers and exporters to divert their cargo through the Takoradi port as they will be assured of efficient service delivery along the logistics chain,” he said.

Takoradi container terminal in partnership with Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority has secured 8700 square meters of space to undertake the receipt and delivery of containers.
