This growth, that confirms the positive trend already started last year, is certainly also ascribable to the several rail services that connect regularly the container terminal of the Port of Trieste to Central and Eastern Europe. Actually, the total intermodal volumes moved by TMT in the first three months of 2017 shows a +52.5% compared to the same period of 2016. In particular, the intermodal link to/from Munich registered a +32.5%, the Austrian trains a +16.7% and the Budapest service even a +138.4%.
