On 24 October 2017, DaChan Bay Terminals (DCB) welcomed EMIRATES HANA with a carrying capacity of 6,000 TEUs on her maiden call on the GALEX (GLX) service.

This service is jointly operated by Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) and Regional Container Lines (RCL).

“We are pleased to welcome the new service as it will enhance further the network of services available at our facilities which is strategically located in Western Shenzhen to serve the Pearl River Delta manufacturing hub,” said Benjamin Lai, Managing Director of DaChan Bay Terminals.

GLX service focuses on customers’ need of reliability, stability and efficiency. Importers and exporters in South China will benefit from this Asia, Indian Subcontinent and Middle East weekly service with competitive transit times and comprehensive networks.

The service is operated by the two companies with eight vessels, seven from ESL and one from RCL.

GLX Service calls DaChan Bay Terminals every Tuesday with a port rotation of Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – DaChan Bay – Singapore – Port Kelang – Cochin – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Jebel Ali – Bandar Abbas – Dammam – Jebel Ali – Hazira – Cochin – Port Kelang – Hong Kong – Pusan.
